ABOUT US

Our Beginnings

At the instigation of a parent of a Speech & Drama Student and her teacher, Mrs. Kok-Gordon, a steering committee was set up in 1999 with the view of forming an Eisteddfod in the Redlands. The ‘Redlands Eisteddfod’ was established and incorporated in February 2000, with annual competition taking place in Music, Dance and Speech & Drama since that time.

 Objects

The objects of the association are—

a. to promote community interest and involvement in the performing arts through conducting competitions in the Redland City area, or at other locations as required, at such times as may be determined by the Management Committee;

b. to encourage the achievement of excellence in the performing arts through the awarding of prizes, bursaries and scholarships;

c. to raise funds for all purposes deemed by the management committee to be within the objects of the association.

Our Motto is  “Encouraging Today’s Youth”.
